Theodore Wirth Golf Club and Theodore Wirth Par 3 Golf Course, located minutes west of downtown Minneapolis, was the first golf course developed in the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board System. Established in 1916, Theodore Wirth Golf Club has evolved into one of the premier golf courses in the state. Noted among area golf enthusiasts for being one of the most difficult tests of golf in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area, Theodore Wirth Golf Club is beautifully set around Bassett Creek, and offers several outstanding views of the Minneapolis skyline. The clubhouse, modeled after a Swiss chalet, has a private reception facility, known as the Fireplace room, that’s available for group and corporate golf outings, meetings, weddings, and anniversaries.
Theodore Wirth Golf Club features an 18 hole Championship Golf Course with rolling hills, strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, multiple sets of tees to challenge players of all skill levels and full Food and Beverage Service. During the winter months, Theodore Wirth Golf Club's hills become the area’s premier Winter Recreation Facility with Sliding, Tubing, and groomed Cross Country Ski trails. Rentals are available.
Located just down the road, Theodore Wirth Par 3 offers challenging Nine Hole, Par 3 Golf Course that is set among mature trees and rolling hills of the Theodore Wirth Park Area.
